NAKAGAMI nakameguro Pop-up Event - Nakagami's First Ever Beach Collection
From July 22 to 28, 2024, NAKAGAMI held a pop-up event at the NAKAGAMI nakameguro store in Nakameguro, Tokyo.
NAKAGAMI nakameguro has hosted pop-up events like "Lemonade Stand" and "Stencil Event."
In this event, whose theme was "Beach Collection," NAKAGAMI collaborated with the beach sandal brand CYAARVO.
At the event, participants could create their own beach sandals by combining any of 17 different colors of soles with 33 colors of straps, producing a selection of 561 unique combinations.
The store also displayed the brand's beach collection, being shown for the very first time, in a fresh, summery atmosphere.
The collection included terry cloth hoodies, stoles, and other fashion items that could be worn at the beach.
The clothing in the collection was unisex, and was certain to be a hit both as everyday wear and summer leisure clothing.
One of the notable features of the collection is its use of terry cloth fabric made from Orizuru Rayon thread from designer Nakagami's hometown of Hiroshima.
One of the things that makes Orizuru Rayon so appealing is that it is made from the folded cranes ("orizuru") offered at Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park.
