Kagann is a jewelry brand that incorporates the traditional metal engraving technique known as “Wabori.”
The brand focuses on fine jewelry using diamonds and colored stones set in 18K gold or platinum.
The collection presents rings, earrings, and necklaces designed to blend effortlessly into daily life, distinguished by their understated individuality. With a quiet yet confident presence, each piece completes your everyday style the moment it is worn.
Wabori is a technique where patterns are carved into the metal surface by striking a specialized tool called a tagane (chisel) with a hammer.
The carved surfaces catch the light, causing the metal itself to sparkle delicately. The charm lies in creating a soft, elegant light that is distinct from the brilliance of gemstones.
At Kagann, we draw on traditional techniques and reinterpret them as patterns and motifs that blend naturally with modern attire.

Philosophy & Vision
The beauty of decoration that blends into daily life. The starting point for Kagann was my desire to “create jewelry that I genuinely want to wear.” Since my student days, I have traveled extensively and come into contact with the decorative cultures and aesthetics of various places. While I was attracted to gorgeous forms, I also strongly felt the importance of quality that can be worn with peace of mind in daily life and designs that fit into one’s lifestyle. I aim for a balance that naturally blends into daily life while evoking an exotic atmosphere.
In time, through studying metal engraving and dedicating myself to the craft as a jewelry artist, I realized I could transform my aspirations into tangible creations.
Jewelry that is not just beautiful, but made of reliable materials and usable for a long time. To be loved even as years pass. Kagann continues to create while valuing the worth of fine jewelry.

Creator's Commitment
At Kagann, we value the process of shaping by hand, minimizing the use of CAD modeling which is currently mainstream in the jewelry industry.By using files and fret saws to craft even minute parts one by one, a natural appearance is born that is not overly rigid. The sensation of it blending smoothly with your skin when you slip it onto your finger is also one of the charms unique to handwork.
We apply Wabori engraving to the finished metal. Using a tagane chisel and hammer, patterns are carved into the metal surface, adjusting the reflection of light through the depth of lines and the angling of facets. To create a shine that is understated yet impressive, we carve carefully while imagining the final finish.
We set stones using horidome, a traditional carved setting technique executed with a tagane chisel integral to the practice of Wabori engraving. This technique, which raises the metal to secure the stone, is characterized by the integration of decoration and structure. By utilizing Wabori techniques even in stone setting, we create a unified beauty unique to Kagann.
The design patterns are not limited to classical ones, we also incorporate modern motifs such as Western flowers. Since artisans carve each piece one by one based on a sketch, each item possesses an expression unique to handwork. By carefully crafting down to the smallest detail, we aim to create jewelry in which you discover new charms every time you look at it.
