[Made in Tokyo] Hirota Glass's "Sumida Wa-glass Kan" Has Reopened After Renovations.

Nostalgic, yet new.
The "Sumida Wa-glass Kan" of Hirota Glass has reopened after renovations in Kinshi-cho, Sumida-ku, a town known for its glass.
During the Meiji and Taisho eras, this area was the center of Tokyo’s thriving glassware culture, where glass tableware factories gathered and Edo Glass and Edo Kiriko artisans honed their skills. Hirota Glass continues to create "Japanese-style glass" that fits into modern life while inheriting the manufacturing methods of traditional crafts such as Edo Glass and Edo Kiriko.
Inside, there is a shop where you can actually pick up and purchase items such as glass soy sauce dispensers, and throughout the building, you'll find fragments of re-fired glass and the warm glow of lamps scattered around.
Why not find your own favorite piece in a space imbued with the nostalgic atmosphere of the Taisho and Showa eras?
