meanswhile Opens New Flagship Store “meanwhile” in Shibuya, Tokyo
The brand meanswhile, which explores the space between function and form, relocated its flagship store from Komazawa to Shibuya and opened its new location, “meanwhile,” on Saturday, November 22, 2025.
The store name removes the “s” from the brand name “meanswhile,” reflecting its role as a concept store that goes beyond a conventional flagship and communicates ideas and creative processes.
The space is designed around the theme of an “in-between” state, where opposing elements such as city and nature or the everyday and the extraordinary coexist.
Alongside the latest collections and limited items, the store also features audio products by Dieter Rams and works by diorama, a Yamanashi-based studio.
Through future exhibitions and events, the store will continue to share the cultural perspectives behind its clothing design.
