YoSeMo STUDIO will hold Christmas accessory workshops at 2k540 during November and December
In April 2024, atelier 8 Ltd opened YoSeMo STUDIO in 2k540 beneath the raised tracks between Akihabara Station and Okachimachi Station to spread and pass on the traditional technique called yosemono.
At YoSeMo STUDIO, visitors can experience the traditional craftsmanship of yosemono techniques by creating accessories.
The courses offered at YoSeMo STUDIO are broadly divided into three different classes: Workshop Class and Hobby Class for those who want to try out the techniques, and Diploma Class for those who wish to study the craft seriously.
The Hobby Class has one-day and four-day classes, and during November and December, the studio will offer a Christmas-themed experience.
In the one-day class, visitors can make handmade accessories, such as clip-on earrings, pierced earrings, brooches, pendants, key chains, bookmarks, and more, with motifs based on a Christmas wreath. Adding crystals and metal plating to the accessories are options visitors can select.
Note: This class will last around six hours and include breaks.
In the four-day class, visitors will have two-hour lessons four times to create a tabletop Christmas tree.
Along with the basic tree frame, visitors can create their own unique design by adding crystals and chains.
