Ohba Glass Processor that makes Edo Kiriko was founded by the founder, Toshio Ohba, with a focus on consigned processing of Edo Kiriko in 1966. The current president, Kazutoshi Ohba, a traditional artisan, joined the company in 1995. He then also started working on creating and selling originally designed Edo Kiriko. We have since welcomed new artisans, daily striving to create a nostalgic but new Edo Kiriko. We make it a point to train young artisans daily, aspiring to pass on the skills inherited by the founder, Toshio Ohba.

We are also working on creating a nostalgic and new Edo Kiriko that depicts the four seasons and sceneries of Japan, using traditional patterns, as well as the traditional, geometric-patterned Edo Kiriko. We will continue to create Edo Kiriko that beautifully blends into your daily life that will allure you to take it out from the cupboard and selectively use it even before you know it.
